Energy Strategy and Procurement
Managing energy procurement for companies and government entities in line with their annual budgets. EP&G serves its customers by helping them to strengthen their energy purchases and formulate strategies. Together with our customers we develop and execute strategies that lower the bottom line costs for energy, manage price risk and simplify energy procurement.
By starting with the facility consumption data, existing contracts, wholesale markets and supplier rates and tariffs. Our team can source energy procurement to gain the most competitively priced and reliable electricity or natural gas. Our specialists can also evaluate renewable energy sources for our customers.
It is often difficult to determine how customers are being charged for their utility services due to the complexity of today’s utility pricing structure. EP&G offers detailed billing analyses to identify key cost components and relates these costs to the customer facility process. We look for opportunities for savings on the utility bills through different rates and metering positions. We also identify key energy consumption patterns and demand profiles to develop unique energy reduction techniques.
With this knowledge, our customers have the ability to make process changes and rate selections that result in savings. In this tariff analysis, we implement the corrections authorized by you, and do all the correspondence and negotiation with the utility companies until final resolution; which may include a refund. We guarantee you savings.
Benchmarking and Budgeting
Benchmarking and budgeting helps determine where an organization should focus their operational resources and energy efficiency efforts. EP&G will gather usage data at and interval level to accurately map the yearly demand spend by location. We are then able to plot that data against many variables including square footage, production units, or customer count. The data collected can also used to show comparison across multiple timeframes based on weather patterns per market.
EP&G will use benchmarking to identify the market conditions realtive to the client’s load, looking for any operational abnormalities and most importantly taking that data collected to build a customized financial risk management strategy that leverages products that best fit the client’s usage profile.
EP&G offers budgeting services as a simple extension of the work already being performed throughout our client’s procurement strategy. These budgets can be produced and delivered on any frequency to fit the client’s forecasting needs as we manage, how to buy, what to buy, and when to buy.
EP&G begins by evaluating the history of usage with your organization. EP&G experts will select key energy performance indicators to evaluate the results. Next we move into targeting improvement area to allow us to reach your goals for energy consumption and efficiency. Whether your goals are increased profitability, energy performance or saving money our data management system is the answer for you.
